FREIGHT:  Within Australia we offer delivery by post – either standard eParcel or eParcel Express.  Outside Australia, we offer delivery by Airmail, Express Post International (EPI) and Express Courier International (ECI).  Please note that Post is NOT a full track and trace service.  However eParcel provides online event tracking at www.eparcel.com.au.  International Airmail deliveries with a value of $AUD100 or more are registered but status checking can be slow.  EPI offers much better tracking than Airmail however if it is important to you that you are able to determine the status of an international delivery at any time, we recommend delivery by ECI.  For both EPI and ECI tracking, go to ice.auspost.com.au.

DELIVERY:  Most orders are shipped from our warehouse either the day we receive your order or the following day.  There are many thousands of products on the Valley Country web site and some items may be out of stock at the time of your order – we may need to source them from our vendors.  Also, some items are made-to-size or made-to-order and need to be sourced as a response to your order.  A small proportion of items may need to be imported to fulfil your order and these can take up to 12 weeks to obtain.  In these situations, we will endeavour to give you an estimate of delivery time and accommodate your delivery requirements. If you require delivery by a specific date, please let us know at time of order.

INSURANCE:  When you complete your order during Checkout, you are offered the option to pay an additional 4% for insurance of your parcel.  Simply choose the payment type that includes insurance. Valley Country does not take responsibility for the non-delivery of uninsured items.

PRICES:  All prices on the Valley Country web site are subject to change without notice.  We sell in Australian Dollars.  Prices shown on this site in Australian Dollars include the Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%.  For the convenience of our international customers, price estimates are also shown in other currencies and these prices exclude GST.  GST applies only to sales within Australia and is removed at checkout for sales with delivery addresses outside Australia.  To calculate prices displayed in foreign currencies, the site uses currency conversion rates published daily by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).  We update these rates each morning so rate variations may occur during the day that are not reflected in these prices.  Also, the rates that your credit card company uses may be different from the IMF rates.

PAYMENT:  When you pay us by cheque, we deposit the funds into our bank and ship the goods after the cheque has cleared.  When you pay us by direct deposit into our bank account, we will ship the goods after the payment is cleared in our bank account.  Like most eCommerce sites, payment is required at time of order.  If we need to order the goods from our supplier(s), your payment will be held as a deposit pending shipment.  If we need to repay the deposit, we will generally use the same payment method as you have used (ie. cheque, credit card, etc).  Please note that payment fraud is a major problem for online retailers such as ourselves. Valley Country employs fraud detection technology that may necessitate alternative payment processes.  A security measure that we may implement is to place a deposit on your credit card and ask you to verify the amount of the deposit.  After you verify the deposit amount, we will charge the remaining balance to your credit card and process your order.  Payment is not accepted by credit card in certain situations and in these cases direct deposit into our bank account is offered as an alternative payment method.

CREDITS:  Credit notes, deposits and gift vouchers are valid for a full twelve months from date of issue and, if not used, will only expire after that time.

CANCELLATIONS:  Cancelled orders attract a 15% cancellation fee. Made-to-order and made-to-measure items must be paid for in full at time of order and this charge is non-refundable.

LANGUAGE TRANSLATIONS:  The Valley Country site uses the Google language translator to translate the site into other languages. Google Translate is an automated translator.  These translations are provided purely for the convenience of users who speak a language other than English. The translations are NOT perfect translations.  Valley Country does NOT accept responsibility for these translations, including instances where the translation may be incorrect or misleading.  Users are advised that they should rely exclusively on their own translation of the English language version of this site.

APPLICABLE LAW:  Transactions between Valley Country and its customers shall be governed by and construed according to the law of New South Wales, Australia.
